The following information applies to HuluMeow／FurrMily products currently sold by Can Can Store. Every cat and dog has different dietary needs depending on their age, weight and health. If your pet has been diagnosed with kidney disease, urinary tract disease, a food sensitivity or any other long-term medical condition, please consult your veterinarian before feeding.

Brand and Product Information

1. Are HuluMeow and FurrMily the same brand?

Yes! “HuluMeow 呼嚕喵” has officially rebranded as “FurrMily 家裡有毛”. Both the old and new packaging may currently be available in Hong Kong, but they are from the same brand and the product formulas and quality remain exactly the same.

Please refer to the information printed on the packaging for the details of the product you receive. If you have any questions about the packaging or product batch, please feel free to contact us. ☺️

2. What is the difference between the complete canned food, tube purees and freeze-dried raw treats?

The complete canned food is formulated to provide the nutrients cats need each day and can be fed as a regular meal in accordance with the feeding instructions on the packaging.

The tube purees and freeze-dried raw treats are complementary foods or treats. They can be used as rewards, mixed with your pet’s regular food or offered occasionally for variety, but they are not nutritionally complete and should not replace a complete and balanced diet.

Put simply, the complete food provides your cat’s main daily nutrition, while the tube purees and freeze-dried raw treats are occasional extras. ☺️

3. Can the Organic Herbal-Infused Complete Cat Canned Food be fed as a regular long-term diet?

Yes. According to the brand and product information, the Organic Herbal-Infused Complete Cat Canned Food is labelled as a complete food for cats of all life stages and as meeting AAFCO／NRC nutritional standards. Its ingredients also include a vitamin blend, minerals, amino acids and taurine. It can therefore be fed as a regular meal in accordance with the feeding instructions on the packaging.

Every cat’s energy requirements are different. The actual feeding amount should be adjusted according to the cat’s weight, age, activity level and health, while their weight and body condition should be monitored regularly.

4. Why is the surface of the food sometimes uneven, or why is there a small gap between the food and the can?

The Organic Herbal-Infused Complete Cat Canned Food is made without added gums or thickeners and has a soft mousse-like texture. According to the brand’s product guidance, the surface may not look equally smooth or firm in every can, and small gaps or natural variations in texture may occasionally be visible.

However, product safety cannot be confirmed from a written description or appearance alone. Do not feed the product if the can is swollen or leaking, the seal is damaged, or the food has an unusual smell, mould or abnormal discolouration. If you are unsure, please take photographs of the product, the batch details on the bottom of the can and the expiry date, then contact us for assistance.

5. Does “gum-free” necessarily mean that a formula is better?

Being gum-free is one feature of the formula. The Organic Herbal-Infused Complete Cat Canned Food is made without added gums or thickeners to reduce unnecessary ingredients, which may also result in a more natural and less uniform texture.

When choosing a complete food, it is more important to consider whether it is complete and balanced, suitable for your pet’s life stage and well tolerated by your pet, rather than looking only at whether the formula contains gums.

6. What is the difference between SGS testing, HACCP and ISO 22000?

SGS is a third-party company that provides testing, inspection and certification services. HACCP is a preventive food-safety management system used to identify and control hazards, while ISO 22000 is an international standard for food-safety management systems.

All HuluMeow／FurrMily products are manufactured in a facility with both HACCP and ISO 22000 certification and have undergone relevant SGS testing. The test items, samples and results can be viewed on the brand’s official test report page.

Kittens, Senior Cats and Dogs

7. Can kittens have the Organic Herbal-Infused Tube Purees?

Kittens that have been weaned and can eat solid food normally can generally have the tube purees. However, the purees are complementary foods. Kittens should obtain the complete nutrition needed for growth primarily from a complete food formulated for their life stage, so the proportion of complete food and treats should be balanced according to the kitten’s age, weight and needs. ☺️

When introducing a new flavour for the first time, offer only a small amount and watch for vomiting, soft stools, itching or any other signs of discomfort.

8. Can kittens have the Freeze-Dried Raw Treats?

Yes, but according to the brand’s product information, these treats are made from raw meat dried at a low temperature of −50°C. If your kitten has a sensitive digestive system, it is best to keep them on a stable, complete kitten diet first and introduce the freeze-dried treats gradually once their digestion is more settled.

The freeze-dried products are complementary foods or treats and must not replace a complete kitten diet. Because kittens have small mouths and may eat quickly, break or cut the pieces into smaller sizes, or soften them with a small amount of warm water before feeding. Always supervise your kitten while they eat to reduce the risk of choking. ☺️

Low-temperature drying is not the same as cooking. Wash your hands after handling raw freeze-dried products and clean any bowls, utensils and surfaces that come into contact with them. If your kitten has a weakened immune system, is unwell or has another health condition, consult your veterinarian before feeding.

9. Can kittens eat the Organic Herbal-Infused Complete Cat Canned Food?

Yes. The product is labelled as a complete food for cats of all life stages, which includes the growth stage. Kittens that have been weaned and can eat complete food normally can therefore generally have it.

However, kittens and adult cats have different nutritional, energy and feeding requirements. Follow the feeding instructions on the packaging for kittens or the growth stage, then adjust the amount according to your kitten’s weight, growth and your veterinarian’s advice.

10. Can senior cats have the complete canned food, tube purees and freeze-dried raw treats?

The products are labelled as suitable for cats of all life stages, so healthy senior cats can generally have them. The complete canned food has a soft mousse-like texture that is suitable for older cats. The tube purees and freeze-dried raw treats should be offered only as treats and must not replace a complete diet.

However, “all life stages” does not mean that a product is suitable for every medical condition. If your senior cat has dental, kidney, thyroid or digestive problems, or develops weight loss or increased drinking or urination, arrange a veterinary examination before deciding on the most suitable diet.

11. Can dogs have the Organic Herbal-Infused Tube Purees and Freeze-Dried Raw Treats?

The brand labels its tube purees and freeze-dried raw treats as suitable for cats and dogs of all life stages. However, they are complementary foods, so the amount should be adjusted according to the dog’s size and total daily energy intake. When introducing a new flavour, offer a small amount first and monitor for any digestive or skin reaction.

The Organic Herbal-Infused Complete Cat Canned Food is formulated for the nutritional needs of cats and is not recommended as a dog’s regular long-term diet.

Feeding and Storage

12. How much Organic Herbal-Infused Tube Puree and Freeze-Dried Raw Treat can my pet have each day?

The tube purees and freeze-dried raw treats are treats given in addition to a complete diet. The appropriate amount depends on your pet’s weight, age, activity level and health. If your pet needs to manage their weight or is currently eating a veterinary therapeutic diet, consult your veterinarian before offering treats.

13. How can I use the Organic Cat Mint?

The cat mint can be added to dry or wet food. It can also be sprinkled onto a scratching board or toy for your cat to sniff or lick directly. Start with a small amount, as consuming too much at once may cause digestive upset.

14. How should the products be stored after opening?

Before opening, follow the storage instructions on the packaging. In general, unopened cans, tube purees and freeze-dried raw treats should be kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.

Cover and refrigerate any unused complete canned food immediately after opening. Do not feed it if it develops an unusual smell, mould, abnormal discolouration or a noticeable change in texture.

Tube purees should preferably be finished soon after opening. If a tube cannot be finished at once, seal it, refrigerate it and use it as soon as possible. Reseal freeze-dried raw treats immediately after each use and keep them dry. Always follow the storage instructions and expiry date printed on the packaging.

Special Health Considerations

15. Can cats with kidney disease eat the Organic Herbal-Infused Complete Cat Canned Food?

The Organic Herbal-Infused Complete Cat Canned Food is a regular complete food for cats of all life stages; it is not a therapeutic renal diet formulated for chronic kidney disease.

A suitable diet for a cat with kidney disease cannot be selected on moisture content or the calcium-to-phosphorus ratio alone. The cat’s stage of kidney disease, blood-test results, appetite, weight and overall condition must also be considered. The IRIS 2026 guidelines recommend therapeutic renal diets and dietary phosphorus restriction at appropriate stages, together with ongoing monitoring of the cat’s condition and nutritional status.

If your cat has been diagnosed with kidney disease, provide the full nutritional information for the product to your veterinarian for assessment. Feed the product only if your veterinarian considers it suitable, and follow their advice on the appropriate amount.

16. Can cats with kidney disease have the Organic Herbal-Infused Tube Purees?

The tube purees are complementary foods and are not therapeutic products formulated for kidney disease. The product pages state that no sodium is added and list the sodium content for individual flavours. However, “no added sodium” or a single sodium value is not enough to determine whether the overall formula is suitable for a cat with kidney disease. Phosphorus, protein, total nutritional intake and the cat’s current test results must also be considered.

If your veterinarian considers the product suitable, follow their recommended serving size and frequency. Do not replace your cat’s veterinarian-recommended complete diet with tube purees simply because your cat enjoys them. ☺️

17. Can cats with kidney disease have the Freeze-Dried Raw Treats?

The freeze-dried raw treats are meat-based, low in moisture and are not therapeutic products formulated for kidney disease.

If your cat has kidney disease and treats are needed to encourage their appetite, ask your veterinarian whether the product is suitable, which flavour to use and how much to offer. If approved, follow your veterinarian’s feeding instructions.

18. Can pets with urinary tract disease, diabetes, pancreatitis or another long-term medical condition have these products?

Without the pet’s diagnosis, test results and the product’s complete nutritional information, it is not possible to give a general “yes” or “no” answer. If your pet is eating a veterinary therapeutic diet, tube purees, freeze-dried raw treats and other treats may affect the diet’s nutritional balance or treatment goals. Consult your veterinarian before introducing any new food.

19. Can the herbal ingredients replace medication or veterinary treatment?

The added herbs are a feature of the product formulas, but the products are not medicines and must not be used as a substitute for veterinary diagnosis, therapeutic diets or medication. If your pet is pregnant, nursing, taking long-term medication or has a chronic medical condition, consult your veterinarian before feeding.

20. How should I choose a flavour if my pet has a food sensitivity?

Check the full ingredient list and avoid any meat or other ingredient known to trigger your pet’s sensitivity. When introducing a new flavour, offer only a small amount and avoid introducing several new foods at the same time, so that any reaction is easier to identify.

Stop feeding the product immediately and seek veterinary advice promptly if your pet shows signs of a reaction.
